Back at Natalie’s apartment, Gino was laying in her bed admiring his own feet (he was the only one). Though he had initially been banished to the couch, he managed to sneak into Natalie’s bed in the middle of the night, and the two “cuddled”, without going much further. Natalie felt he still had a lot of work to do in order to earn back her trust, even though she had a soft spot for him.
The plans for the day were for Natalie to go to a pot luck party with a bunch of her friends, now bringing Gino as her plus one. He attempted to contribute to the party by bringing ham and cheese sandwiches, which he then attempted to fry on the host’s stove, but most likely burned them to the pan. Natalie’s friends questioned Gino’s motives, asking if he was seeing anyone else. Gino, being….Gino, answered ambiguously, making himself a giant red flag. Her friends quickly reported back, warning Natalie to ditch the mad hatter, stat.
Back in the Dominican RePOOblick, Pedro was contemplating what to do about the Sophie situation. He met up with a woman who was SUPPOSEDLY his sister, Nicole, but with an entirely different face. Like possibly Nicole Hannibal Lector-ed a new face. That is the only way I am believing this. The Nicole imposter advised her “brother” to proceed with caution while dating Sophie, due to her young age and immature attitude towards being serious (And she said all of this with a fake face while holding a white fluffy dog who she claimed doesn’t like to walk on the ground).
In the meantime, Sophie and her sidekick Julia were at the club, and were immediately approached by Gustavo, a local young bar-going “doctor”. Liz met up with them at the bar, immediately changing the mood with her presence. Sophie gave her the cold shoulder, as she was still mad at Liz for breaking “girl code” by telling Pedro to be careful with dating Sophie. She confronted Liz about her breach in trust, and rolled her eyes as Liz tried to explain away her conversation with Pedro. (Does any of this matter? Sophie didn’t seem interested in Pedro seriously anyway).
Though things with the ladies weren’t going well, Liz did seem to be having some luck with the manfolk. She met up with “Villa”, Pedro’s friend, for their second date. The two went paddleboarding, which Liz felt was a fun change of pace from her past activities with Ed (which mostly included drinking wine and weeble-wobbling around). The date went really well, ending with a kiss on the beach. She was unsure of how to tell Villa about her recent cancer diagnosis, as she felt like she was starting to have feelings for him.
Variya and her latest romantic interest (The un-Tonyiest looking Tony I’ve ever seen) were at a carnival, discussing the status of their “situationship”. He didn’t seem to be interested in taking things to the next level, and thought Variya was a bit too intense. I’m not even sure if she actually liked un-Tony, or if she’s just so hellbent on being with someone that she’s now trying to lecture people into dating her.
Kween Kimbally got herself all dolled up to attend a friend’s party, where they decided to set her up with a love prospect. As they sipped martinis in their colorful leis, Kim and her new friend, Joe, began the typical “get to know ya” questions. Love-interest Joe seemed nice and genuinely interested in pursuing the Kween, who was impressed with his love of Michael Jackson (She was his #1 fan before Sojaboy’s). When the party was winding down, Joe walked Kim out to her car, making sure to exchange numbers before hugging her goodbye. Joe seems nice and all, but will he go “dey” for you?
