90 Day The Other Way, S2, EP 3

Jenny & Summe/SueMe/Sioux meat:

Jenny returns to India and Soo-mee is waiting for her at the airport for a really intense hug. They throw all of her stuff into the cab and head a few hours outside of the city so Jenny can see their new home. When they pulled up to the house, there was a crowd of people (surely causing Jenny to have flashbacks of her last trip to India…), and a beautiful white cow on the stoop, who must’ve had Tacca-tacca Bell the night before, as he was unleashing on their walkway. Turns out, this was a housewarming ceremony, and after a lot of chanting, cow parading, and Jenny holding a flower pot on her head, the house is “cleansed”. (Smudging some sage would have been less cleanup, but definitely less fun). Jenny noticed that the house was a little dilapidated, mostly because Stew-meat likes things vintage…

The bedroom looked really cute with the very Wayfair modern geometric furniture. All in all, it seemed to be a great first day, until Smee mentioned that the neighborhood is kind of dangerous….. Like someone might murder you for $10 dangerous. Let’s hope he is also lying about that fun fact, like he lies about everything else.

Kenneth & Armando:

It’s finally time for Armando to sit down with his parents and have the “I’m definitely gay, have a boyfriend who is much older than me, and I’m moving away with your grandaughter” talk with his parents. They seemed to take the news okay, with his mother reassuring him that she loves him, and his father needing “more time”. Honestly, not as bad as expected given how he said it went the first time around. I’m sure once they meet Kenneth and bask in his glowing complexion their worries will melt away.

Deavan & Jihoon:

It’s time to board the flight to Korea for Deavan, her mom, and the two kiddos. Deavan seems skeptical that Jihoon is lying about his job as “tile”, and that he won’t be able to support the four of them, so she did the only logical thing she could do- flew back to Korea to make sure he was definitely lying. (I’m praying for whatever unfortunate soul is sitting in front of Drascilla for the 20 hour flight…)

Back in Korea, it seems as though Deavan was right, because we see Jihoon confessing to his friends that he isn’t making much money at all and isn’t sure what he’s going to do.(It must also be noted that one of Jihoon’s friends was wearing a shirt with two blonde people making out. Super random).

Brittany & Yazan:

It’s the day of Brittany’s arrival, and Yazan decides to pre-game by discussing things with his parents. Father Yazan tries to have some real-talk, that though Brittany is a nice girl, she is going to have to convert and wear a hijab if she wants to be in their family’s cool kids club. Also, they can’t just be boyfriend/girlfriend for his son to stay with her, she needs to be wifey for lifey. Father Yazan explains all of this while sitting on a pretty interesting couch with some kind of scalloped edge on top (this would make a great addition to Tania’s sister’s house, it would really tie the room together. Could be exactly what was missing….). We see that Yazan took his father’s advice and brought Brittany a beautiful bouquet for her arrival. They greeted each other with a big hug, and some light hand holding as they walked to the car. And then… the only really interesting part of the show (which you know had to be in the last 5 minutes…). Apparently Brittany (much like Kramer) likes to stop at the duty free shop, and Yazan was very angry that she had alcohol as well as publicly greeted a crew member with a hug. He freaked out, cursing at her as well as himself, and making this airport pickup less of “the perfect pickup”.

Ariela & BBB:

Ariela is saying goodbye to her family and dog, Dante, as she and her mother head off (DIY epidural kit in tow) to the airport for their big trip to Ethiopia. I feel like she’s going to name her baby something really special, like “Basmati Quinoa Horowitz” or something…

Looking forward to meeting Baby Boy BindiEriwin.
