Love After Lockup; S3, EP 30

Brittany & Marcelino:

Brittany and her mother Cynthia are still in Alaska confronting grandma Jackie for being, as Brittany put it- “A rotten ass person”. It’s unclear whether this “face your fears” tactic Brittany believes in has really helped Cynthia or just driven her to a mental breakdown.

Next we saw the whole group gear up in their finest camo gear to go admire the Alaskan nature. Brittany’s dad and stepmother stopped by for a visit, which was sure to become another trigger for her mother, Cynthia. Brittany’s parents had an awkward hello, while Brittany’s dad got acquainted with his new grandchildren. He took Brittany aside to ask about her relationship with Cynthia, making sure Brittany remembered to keep her own freedom and sobriety first, and to tread lightly.

Next Brittany, Marcelino and the kiddos had a great time fishing in Alaska, with adorable little Gio ready to become a professional fisherman. It appeared that the trip was going smoothly, and hopefully there will be a moose appearance at some point.

Amber & Puppy:

Amber and Puppy met up with a lawyer to try and sort out the Vince adoption situation. Puppy regrets letting Vince adopt her, even though she is now technically his heir/beneficiary. Puppy isn’t sure if she wants to keep things the way they are or call Vince and scream “You’re not even my real dad!!!”. The lawyer seemed mildly entertained by the entire scammy situation, laughing as she told Puppy about her legal options. She thought it was downright hilarious when Puppy suggested that they knocked Vince off so she would inherit his fortune…. And by fortune, I mean a few free weights and a broken cell phone.

Next Amber and Puppy went to grab lunch together, still discussing the Father Vince conundrum. They called Vince on speaker phone from their lunch spot to question him about nullifying the adoption paperwork. Vince sounded annoyed and was evasive as he tried to say that Amber and Puppy were the ones trying to scam him. Looks like they won’t be heading to any Daddy/Daughter dances any time too soon! Parents just don’t understand..,

Shawn & Destinie:

It’s the 6th week in a row that we’ve watched Shawn chase Destinie around various parts of the courthouse parking lot. Shawn begged Destinie to give him answers as to why she took off and wanted to know if they were still boyfriend/girlfriend. She mocked him, yelled at him, threatened to beat him up and take his lunch money, and refused to answer any of his questions. She accused Shawn of being a liar while simultaneously confessing she was with someone new, and eventually threw the engagement ring in his general direction. Shawn was in shock, finally starting to realize that he may have been scammed. After the lightbulb went off, he decided to have her car (which was really his) taken back, along with the credit cards he had given her. Looks like next week the ex fiances will have a showdown with a tow truck in the driveway.

Lacey & Chain:

Lacey met up with her dear old dad to discuss the fact that he leaked the information about Chon being released to Chain. Lacey feels like she should have been the one to tell Chain about Chon, and although her father agrees, he feels that Lacey should have been the one to clue Chain in.

They somehow got into discussing Lacey’s childhood, which was difficult, as her father was away working a lot of the time and she was home with her mother who had a drinking problem. She explained that she got into partying, drinking and doing drugs…. And eventually overdosed on lip fillers. Though it is unclear how this discussion about her childhood pertained to the rest of the storyline, it was fun to see throwback pictures of a little Lacey, before she had been renovated.

Lacey’s dad decided to head over to Chon’s house to set the record straight that he doesn’t want Chon anywhere around Lacey. Chon’s former cellmate Floyd watched on from the window as Father Lacey tried to instigate a fight with his former prospective son in law. He also let Chon know that Lacey did in fact call the cops on him during their last altercation, which is how he landed in jail. Maybe this devastating news was exactly what Chon needed to be released from Lacey’s chains of love for good.

Sarah & Michael:

After the date with Malcolm went south, Sarah headed home to her house where Michael was waiting. He was flirting with her playfully, trying to get the inside info about her date and relationship status. Michael feels that he and Sarah are in an open marriage, where they see other people but still sleep with each other when they feel like it. The segment ended with Michael following her into her bedroom as she giggled….. Please let her not be obulatin’.

John & Kristianna & Sister Wife Terra:

John is shining up the ole’ Firebird in preparation for Kristianna’s release from prison the following day. Of course all of his modes of transportation have his signature “Bonnie & Clyde” stickers all over them, which probably helps him find his car in a crowded parking lot. Terra is packing up to leave for Debuke, as she isn’t allowed to live with her sister due to the terms of Kristianna’s release…. And probably because she’s just way too tempting for John. ::Alexa, Cue the song “Simply Irresistible”:::

Missing from this episode were Andrea and Lamar, who have almost officially run out of storylines completely. Also missing were Scott and Lindsey, who are gone now, but not forgotten. RIP Scott & Lindsey
