The Other Way; S2 EP 9

Cheesestick & Melyza:

Tim was excited to have Melyza’s home cooked breakfast, really overdoing it with his yummy noises when she was making plain jane eggs and chorizo. (Like he wasn’t eating other eggs and other chorizo behind her back …..)

ts time for Tim’s infidelity tour 2020 to hit the road, with the next stop; Melyza’s parent’s house. Most of the time we forget who this couple is as their story is extremely lame, but let’s at least give Tim credit for speaking enough Spanish to tell his potential inlaws he was unfaithful. 

(Unfortunately because he does understand Spanish he knew that Mama Melyza called him fat). Mother Melyza is not happy that Tim and his cheesestick have relocated to Columbia, and she doesn’t exactly have a poker face.

During the first chance they were alone together, she let him know that she disapproved of him and has lost all respect. Gee, rough night….better get some rest, looks like more crying and admitting to cheating for next week!

Jenny & Summitt:

The unlikely couple met up with Soomee’s better looking brother at a restaurant to talk about….hmm, gee, I wonder…there are rely only 2 topics of conversation here. A. Sioux-me’s divorce 

B. People (namely Family Sum-mitt) disapproving of the relationship.

They have nothing else to talk about. I for one would like to see more of India. They should go sightseeing, maybe visit a temple! Hell I’d even be glad if they visited that public restroom from “Slumdog Millionaire” at this point. Literally ANYTHING other than the disapproving parents/divorce storyline. 

Brother Stewmeat throws another layer of guilt on the couple that SOCIETY now hates their relationship. Friends and family weren’t enough. I’d rather watch them floss at this point…ride a tandem bicycle…go into Spencer’s Gifts together…..anything!

Ariela & BBB:

Mother Ariela, Ari and BBB met up with his family at a restaurant to get to know each other a little better. On the menu for lunch was raw meat, which Mother Ariela seemed apprehensive about eating. BBB’S sister assured her it was safe, (though the thought of having a “situation” in that “Saw” bathroom would be enough for me to politely decline). The family Biniyam also demonstrated “gursha”, the act of hand feeding each other as a sign of affection, with Mama Ariela (I’m guessing no gursha since quarantine…). They all seemed to be getting along well, though Biniyam’s family seemed nervous that Ariela would want to leave and take the baby back to the states. Ariela assured them that this was not her intention, though only time will tell.

Later on, Ariela and mom went to the famous club where BBB works (I knew it was famous because it said so on the sign) to watch his dance performance. Biniyam took the stage with his ex-girlfriend, dancing provocatively and simulating playing bongo drums on her crotch. All the while, Ariela looked on from the audience with her mother making some pretty awesome passive aggressive comments like “wow, she looks very flexible”.

BBB came over to their table, excited to hear their feedback about his talent. Instead, Mama Ariela grilled him on the issues of his first marriage and how he plans to support a family playing butt bongos every night. It seems like he and Ari haven’t talked much about how any of this is going to work.

Don’t worry! I’m sure it’ll all be fine……

Deavan & Jihoon:

The drama from dinner with the translator fiasco continues, as Deavan is at her wits end, trying to figure out if Jihoon is going to change his ways. Jihoon and his mother went to the ATM to pull out the $3000 Deavan had asked for, which was one big step. As it turns out, Mother Jihoon may be the entire reason her son was lazy and selfish, as she seems to be making a lot of excuses for him. Deavan decides to give jihoon another chance, and it looks like there will be more headless fish in Drascilla’s future.
