The Last Resort; S2 Episode 10

Back at the Brandon/Julia villa party….

Natalie had graced everyone with her crazy presence last week, as they all continued to discuss her being an absolute mental case. While the word “crazy” was being tossed around, a crying Stacey came through the door to up the ante. She was currently distressed over her issues with Florian, who was in the midst of one of his angry outbursts and not up to attending the party. Ariella came in (Which was no big event..), as the crowd focused their attention on JasMo. The crew had their own makeshift therapy session with Jasmine leading the charge. Gino refused to give Jasmine the ‘ole 1-2, forcing her to live in a sexless marriage. Jasmine suggested they have an open marriage, which he refused. It seemed obvious to everyone at this point that there was no way this would work out (But we knew that from the beginning. And so did they). Things started to get a bit too heavy, so they decided to break the party up a bit early. Brandon was hoping this would give him his much needed chance for a little sexy time with Julia, but unfortunately when the opportunity he complained about never getting presented itself, he fell asleep.

Back at their hotel room, Gino and Jasmine continued fighting, refusing to stay in the bed together. They noticed a note from the “therapists” inviting them for a night away together, but felt even that was more than they could currently handle.
After their sex therapy ridiculousness last week, Natalie had been spending her time walking around the resort feeling confused, especially since Jush had ghosted her completely. She wsa unsure if he had left for good, was wasn’t sure what to do next (Besides feature herself on an episode of “Snapped”).

The following morning, the couples were being bussed out to an undisclosed desert location for yet another round of pointless activities. Jush magically appeared in a fancy sports car, just in time to hop in the van containing all of the men and no Natalies. He explained his brief absence, citing his issues with Natalie’s multiple personalities.

When the couples finally reached their spot in the desert, they were instructed to work together to pitch a tent. Gino generally needs his little blue pills to pitch a tent, but this time he had help from Florian since Jasmine refused to participate. She then went missing for some time, stirring up even more drama, only to be found a few minutes later, curled up in someone else’s tent, pretending to be sleeping. Surprisingly the couple who did the best at the tent challenge were Natalie and Josh, who aren’t even a couple and had probably never even seen a tent. Jush admitted that he and Nutalie actually work really well together as a team, just not as a couple….which they are not. Did I mention that? Why are they here?!

After the pointless activity, the couples moved on to being “hypnotized” by the extremely awkward therapist. Each participant sunk into a state of deep relaxation as they were instructed to think of something they may have done in the past that hurt their partner. Stacey felt she went into a deep trance, almost as good as being under anesthesia but a lot less “snatched” afterwards. Jush admitted that Natalie is a real life witch, as she sees and hears things, which is actually quite believable. I’m sure there are a lot of voices going on up there…

Brandon opened up first, thinking Julia was hurt when he had given his mother their house key without asking her permission first (A whole storyline from one of their past seasons). Julia didn’t seem too phased by the key swap, but instead wanted to get something off of her chest. Apparently when the couple had visited Russia 4 years prior, she had gotten in touch with her ex boyfriend, devising a plan to run away together, and sealed the deal with a kiss. Brandon was horribly hurt by this revelation, and was unsure if he’d be able to move forward. Looks like we won’t get to hear more “confessions from the subconscious” until next week. Can we opt to leave some of the tranquilized?
